Swim for Sharks

Filmed at the Dolphin Club in San Francisco Bay during the annual “Sharktober” season, this short film follows open ocean swimmers in an endurance swim in the “shark inhabited” waters around Alcatraz Island and examines interactions and encounters with wildlife in the San Francisco Bay. Interviews with quirky characters from the world famous Dolphin Club carry the message of shark conservation and awareness to continue building on our successes stopping the shark fin trade in California and other US States, by promoting the first Shark Sanctuary in North America.

Shot, produced and directed by award winning shark conservationists and filmmakers David McGuire and Christina Choate.
